EARLY CHILDHOOD Please visit www.r2lp.org, the website of ProvPlan's program Ready to Learn Providence, for information about work to promote school readiness and early childhood well-being in Providence. Especially relevant on the R2LP website is the Maps page, which contains a variety of maps that show everything from the residential distribution of children in Providence, to locations of child-care providers and public schools, to linguistically isolated families. Also useful is the report recently released by Ready to Learn Providence: How Ready Is Providence? Advancing a Community Conversation about School Readiness in Providence (available in PDF; warning- large file). An Executive Summary is also available. Some data related to early childhood resides in the Neighborhood Profiles Citywide People page as well as on individual neighborhood pages. Additional material can be found in our Reports or Presentations sections. |
